Sonja Breach

Myofascial Release
Indian Head Massage
Facial Rejuvenation Massage

When your body starts telling you it has had enough - whether it's stress, muscle strains and injuries or "office back" I can help. I am an experienced remedial massage therapist with a busy practice and as well as working during the week I have a Saturday clinic.

What some of her clients say:

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Sonya for treating my mother. She came home seeming much more relaxed and happy, feeling able to deal with all that is going on in her life at the moment. I will definitely be booking her another session when she next visits! Thanks again!! SA

With a three day course coming up I wasn't looking forward to either the travel, heavy bags or the sitting still with a back gone into spasm but after a single session with Sonja I was barely aware of my back the whole way through and managed really well - thank you so much. EC

Massage Therapists. Olha Syeverova

Olha Syeverova

Swedish, Remedial, Sport, Indian Head, Facial Rejuvenation, Aromatherapy, Pregnancy, La Hot stone, Balinese
The greatest gift we have is our body and it is important to value and care for it. More and more people are realising how much they can benefit from an expert massage.

Tension, tiredness, pain from everyday living, desk work, heavy lifting, sports or even recovery from surgery can all be helped with a wide range of massage techniques drawn from a large reservoir of knowledge and practice built up over centuries.

Remedial and Sport massage - Too often people are given medication to dull the pain when a course of massage could help them back to health and able to take part again in their favourite activities. My level 5 training puts at my finger tips a wide range of advanced techniques, skills and up to date knowledge to help you back to health. Sport massage unfortunately has a reputation for being painful – that’s just not right! It’s about using that wide range of much more advanced techniques to make your treatment more effective and rapid. The special soft tissue techniques have a much wider application than just preparation and recovery from sports activities too – they are also appropriate for long standing chronic or deep seated muscular injuries of many kinds.

Advanced massage techniques can do wonders for you, but remember it can take some time. Longstanding pain and discomfort usually needs a series of treatments. So, if you choose this wonderful way of natural wellbeing to help with chronic pain which you have had for a long time, be ready to plan a series of appointments, preferably at weekly intervals and be prepared to help your recovery by doing any exercises which are advised in between sessions.

Massage and Myofascial Release (MFR) can also be a part of post operative treatment, restoring pliability to scar tissue and speeding up recovery.

Facial massage - One of my favourite massages is a wonderful facial massage, using my own aromatherapy oils (included in the price so there are no extra charges)

Relaxation - for when you are stressed out by the pressures of daily living - hot stone, essential oils, heated bamboo rollers to help you release that muscular tension, re-energise and recover.

Reflexology - uses special finger/thumb manipulations to stimulate reflex points, which are thought to stimulate the flow of energy to the corresponding body part. This gradually helps to restore balance and stimulate the body's ability to heal itself, physically and emotionally. It can take several treatments to awaken the reflexes and really start to see some effect but most people experience even one treatment as deeply relaxing.

I've always been amazed by the wisdom and beauty of nature, which led me to study Biomedical Sciences at Kiev University, over six years. After a successful career in research and teaching medical students in my home country, Ukraine, I started to feel an itch to explore natural methods of healing so I trained in massage. I've attended many courses in Ukraine and U.K and my latest achievement is a Level 5 Diploma at St. Mary's University in London and I'm not stopping there! - I continue to learn and study. Each course has equipped me with specific techniques so I now have a very extensive range of tools to ease aches and pain, help with injuries, maintenance and conditioning or just to provide you with a great relaxing massage - a lovely treat!

I see my treatment as a fusion of different modalities to achieve the best result for you using a wide range of techniques including advanced remedial, sport and soft tissue, essential oils, comforting hot stones or warm bamboo canes.

I offer a bespoke treatment, tailored especially for you and your needs. If you aren’t sure what sort of massage you need - don’t worry, we’ll discuss it together at your appointment and find the best solution for you.

The human body is beautiful and fascinating but too often neglected. Make sure you look after yours!

Book now and start on your road to recovery.

Stefania De Cara

Holistic, Deep Tissue, Remedial, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Facial

Do you spend long hours sitting in front of a computer screen?

Is your back aching, your neck stiff?

Are you feeling stressed and finding it difficult to let go and relax?

Whether you are desk bound and suffering from lack of movement or a mum who is on the go all the time and carrying small children around, massage can help you rebalance those tired aching muscles, let go and relax.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
In today’s Western Culture diet can stress the lymphatic system with excess wastes, toxins and lack of fluid contributing to a sluggish lymphatic system. Used as part of a detoxification program it can help with improved energy, an increase in cellular oxygenation and enhanced immunity.

Manual lymphatic drainage is extremely gentle and feels wonderfully relaxing. Most people either fall asleep or go into a highly relaxed state, due to the slow, gentle rhythmic motions involved, which stimulate the movement of lymph through the lymph vessels.

What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage good for?
  • If you are prone to common illnesses like colds and flu.
  • If you lead a sedentary lifestyle,
  • If you want to reduce oedema, puffiness or swelling.

It has been cited as having a positive effect on:
    Problem skin & cellulite
    Dysfunctional respiratory systems
    Low energy

It is an effective treatment for a variety of issues including oedema, skin disorders, headache, sinus congestion, sprains and aches, stress, digestive disorders and it can be used before and after surgery to remove tissue congestion and minimize scar formation. It is particularly useful as part of post-mastectomy therapy oedema and fibrosis.

I was born and raised in Genoa, Italy but always had a fascination with English culture and long dreamed of moving to London. After finally making the leap in 2006, I immersed myself in a busy career and London life. It was during this period, dominated by short evenings and weekends, that an old back injury came back to haunt me. This severe, debilitating back pain led me from specialist to specialist until I finally found an effective cure in physio and massage - and with it, discovered my passion for massage therapy. So I really understand both the stresses and strains of a busy life and the difficulty of living with pain. Now with a small son of my own I also know how important it is for a new mum to have some help with the stresses and strains, both physical and emotional, of life with small children.

I studied Holistic Massage in Hammersmith Hospital, London, and with an ambition to help others experiencing back pain, joint pain and numerous other injuries, conditions and disorders, I set about my career as a therapist. I relocated to Exeter, and expanded my skills with qualifications in deep tissue massage and remedial techniques.

What her clients say
Stefania has a great sense of the muscles she is working on, teasing and easing them into losing the tension they hold. She also checks regularly that her client is comfortable and that she is applying the right amount of pressure. I would recommend Stefania to anyone.

I have been going to Stefania for a regular massage for a few months now. She is very attentive, checks you are comfortable and adapts to what you need. I love how determined she is to help my aches feel better! Highly recommended.

I've had 3 x separate massages from Stefania and all of them have been incredible and keep me coming back for more! As well as being a truly relaxing experience, I have ongoing shoulder pain which Stefania has helped enormously with. Couldn't recommend her more highly!

Stefania is amazing and I couldn't recommend her highly enough. Very relaxing, set within a great place to unwind and de-stress. Stefania also fixed my shoulder within two sessions and now it feels back to normal !

Looking to get back to a normal lifestyle, pain free, as quickly as possible?

My special fusion of Sport massage and myofascial release techniques can help you do just that!

Sports therapy is not just for sporting athletes, or sporting injuries, but is also able to deal with many common muscular complaints, such as back and neck pain, strains and sprains and work related conditions no matter what your age or level of activity - from couch potato to serious athlete.

The fascia is tissue which interpenetrates and surrounds every muscle fibre, bone, nerve, organ and vessel throughout the entire body. Normally fascia is gelatinous and pliable but injury, trauma, repetitive strain, posture misalignments and inflammation can cause the fascia to dehydrate and harden which in turn creates restrictions which make movement painful, causing tension and misalignment to the rest of the body. This can lead to headaches, bad backs, stiff shoulders and much more. Myofascial release techniques help to correct this in ways that traditional massage techniques are unable to do.

I also use some of the latest technology to reach down to a deeper level than hands can do. Deep Oscillation therapy is a totally unique type of physical therapy used by doctors and therapists in hospitals and clinics throughout Europe and America. Electro-static waves create a kneading effect deep within the damaged tissue, restoring flexibility and blood supply to the affected area and allowing previously ‘untreatable’ injuries to be manipulated with the minimum of physical pressure.

Work leaves my body feeling stressed and tense.

I’d love to have a healthier lifestyle but injury stops me.

My work demands a lot of my body and it is beginning to complain!

Whether you are looking to relieve stress and tension from day-to-day life, ease aches and pains or improve athletic performance, I am here to help restore the balance. My goal is to help you to a healthier and happier life through massage and a better understanding of how to look after yourself. Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs using a combination of techniques.
I quickly came to realise that many people are prevented from leading a healthier and more active life by stress, tension, injury and other health conditions when I started work as a personal trainer following my degree in exercise and sport sciences at Exeter University. My training in massage means I can help you to remove these obstacles to living life to the full as well as offer you expert guidance on how to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.
Since retraining in massage therapies, I haven't looked back. I am passionate about what I do and feel very lucky that I have been a part of many people’s journeys back to health. My aim is to provide you with a friendly and welcoming environment where your health and wellbeing comes first - offering a programme to support you as a unique individual.

What some of my clients say:

“I booked a session with Carly at Phoenix massage therapies after suffering with aches and stress. I felt calm and looked after the whole time. Carly created a relaxing environment for me and managed to pinpoint the problem areas in my back and neck. As soon as I'd had my first massage, I booked in for another! Thanks to Phoenix massage therapies for a great treatment at a great price. I'll certainly be booking again.”

“I've never had such a good massage. Carly paid attention to areas like my knees and hands which I haven't had done before which felt amazing!”

“My sessions with Carly were to alleviate fatigue from exercise. Carly was welcoming and friendly, putting me at ease immediately. She exuded confidence and competence throughout, while ensuring problem areas were given special attention. I left my sessions relaxed and feeling lighter.”

Swedish massage is most commonly known for its ability to provide relaxation; however, it also boasts a whole range of other benefits including easing feelings of stress and anxiety, relief from muscle tension, just to mention a few.

Trigger Point therapy is used in conjunction with Swedish or deep tissue massage to speed up the recovery of repetitive microtrauma, overuse and acute trauma to the muscle fibres. It is a very effective technique used to treat many conditions which may not be deemed as a muscular issue. For example, trigger point therapy has been shown to help with conditions such as head pain, RSI, limited range of motion and much more. Pain is alleviated though isolated pressure and release into specific areas of concern.

Deep tissue massage is used to help manage conditions which cause chronic tension and pain. It breaks down the ‘knots’ that can disrupt circulation and cause pain and inflammation.

Seated chair massage is idea if you struggle with lying on your stomach or have mobility problems. Specifically designed to be a flexible mobile treatment, it’s an effective way to reduce the build-up of tension in the back, neck and shoulders. However, it also offers a whole range of other benefits such as enhancing creative thinking and problem solving, helping to prevent injury from repetitive movements such as typing and much more.

Pregnancy massage Pregnancy massage can be beneficial for both mum and baby, not only can it help with relaxation but can alleviate back pain, fatigue, and other ailments commonly related to pregnancy such as indigestion, morning sickness, heartburn and more. Research has shown that the feel-good endorphins felt by mum during a massage can be passed onto baby. I will guide you through different couch positions to keep you comfortable and relaxed.

60 minutes: 50
90 minutes: 70
